Job description

If names like Caterpillar, Komatsu, John Deere, and Volvo get your attention, perhaps the title of Heavy Equipment Mechanic is something you should talk to us about. This position is responsible for the maintenance of our mixed fleet of heavy construction equipment. The majority of the equipment repairs take place in the field and the position includes operating and maintaining a medium-duty mechanic truck and other duties as assigned.

The work includes maintenance of:

  • Diesel engines
  • Hydraulic systems
  • Electrical systems

Our equipment includes:

  • Excavators
  • Loaders
  • Scrapers
  • Dozers
  • Off-road trucks
  • Pickups
  • Pumps
  • Generators

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of relevant heavy equipment maintenance experience
  • Your own tools
  • Valid driver's license
  • Clean motor vehicle record
  • Formal diesel mechanic training or specific on-the-job training to include maintenance and repair of hydraulic and electrical systems
  • A commercial driver's license and certified welding experience are pluses.
