Description of Job GATE ATTENDANT: $17.00/HOUR: A customer service based position that involves greeting visitors, selling parks passes, answering phones, counting cash receipts, and providing information to the public. Daily interaction with park visitors requires effective communication and public relations skills. Work leader responsibilities over entrance attendants

Specific duties include but are not limited to :Must be 18 years of age or older Must have a current & valid drivers' license or reliable transportation OR Must have a current & valid driver's license required for operating a state vehicle The work-site will provide some uniform items, however the employee may be required to purchase limited uniform items at their own expense. Applicants may be subject to successful completion of a comprehensive background check. Must be willing and able to work 20 hours per week.

Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays. Must be available to work varied shifts morning and evenings Preference may be given to applicants with or working towards a Natural Resources degree or similar education. Previous experience [handling money] and working with the public [preferred/required].

VISITOR SERVICES $17.00/HOUR: A customer service based position that involves working in a visitor center or gate entrance, greeting visitors, or may be assigned to work in the field in specialized duties as some parks

Answering of telephones and transferring/taking messages. Photo-copying and filing. Collects revenue, completes shift report and balances shift box at end of each shift.

May prepare campground reservations forms and documents. May document and report visitor complaints. Cleaning and light maintenance duties of interior and exterior of gates, visitor center and/or offices, including litter pick up.

May assist with special events or programs within the park. Other duties as assigned OFFICE AID $17.00/HOUR: This position is a customer service position that sells a variety of state park passes, hunting and fishing licenses, and other CPW products and retail items. This position is a main line of contact for all visitors and responds to telephone inquiries as well as questions regarding hunting, fishing and park use regulations, and Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) in general

PARK MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN $17.00-19.00 /HOUR: Responsible for all general park maintenance and cleaning of public facilities including: restrooms, vault toilets, picnic areas, day use sites, trails, etc

Operates and performs routine maintenance on State owned vehicles and equipment. Provides and ensures quality customer service and facility maintenance, repair and cleanliness and provides information and assistance to visitors. May also assist with carpentry, plumbing, masonry, electrical work, general landscape duties and transporting materials and supplies and performs other duties as assigned.

Lifting 50lbs, Possibly standing for 4 hours straight on overly busy days Minimum Qualifications, Substitutions, Conditions of Employment & Appeal Rights BASIC REQUIREMENTS: Must be 18 years of age or older. Must possess a current and valid driver's license and have reliable transportation.

Must be able to work outdoors and on weekends, holidays, and varied shifts. Must be able to climb in and out of vessels, and under trailers. Successful completion and passing of background screening may be required for placement in this position.

Possess strong interpersonal communication skills (written and oral). Ability to work with little supervision. May be required to work at the ANS station for an 8 hour shift and take lunch at the station.

This position is up to 20-24 hours per week and up to six months in duration. School schedules may be accommodated. Some uniform items will be provided, however, employees may be required to purchase limited uniform items at their own expense.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This position will perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
