About the Role:

Are you passionate about Powersports and love helping customers customize their rides? Anderson Powersports in Reno, NV is seeking a Parts Advisor to assist customers in selecting, modifying, and accessorizing their off-road vehicles, motorcycles, and snowmobiles. This role requires great customer service skills, an interest in Powersports, and the ability to build personalized accessory packages to enhance customers' experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers in selecting the right parts and accessories for their Powersports vehicles.
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of Powersports parts, compatibility, and functionality.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by listening to clients' needs and recommending solutions.
  • Utilize merchandising skills to present and organize parts for easy customer access.
  • Upsell and cross-sell accessories that complement customers’ purchases.
  • Offer basic technical assistance or direct customers to additional resources.
  • Keep inventory organized, manage orders, and maintain a tidy workspace.
  • Think creatively to suggest unique customization options.
  • Troubleshoot issues and find innovative solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Clearly communicate product features and benefits to customers.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior sales or customer service experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and product details.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with customers.
  • Bilingual a plus.
  • Computer proficiency for researching parts and processing orders.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

  • Primarily operates in the parts department, assisting customers at the counter.
  • May involve picking out parts or organizing inventory.
  • Requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Vision abilities include close and distance vision, color recognition, and depth perception.
  • Evenings and weekends may be required based on service department hours.
  • Some travel may be required to transport parts between dealership locations.
