The Automotive Technician installs, maintains, and services aftermarket components on trucks, Jeeps, and SUVs. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality workmanship while delivering excellent customer experience.

What You'll Do:

  • Install and work on suspensions, alignments, gears, mounting, and balancing wheels and tires following company and manufacturers' specifications and standards
  • Install accessories (bumpers, lights, winches, and more)
  • Perform vehicle alignments using Hunter Hawkeye alignment equipment
  • Inspect completed repairs and installations to ensure quality and vehicle readiness for return to service while maintaining accurate records
  • Communicate professionally and clearly with internal team members and customers when needed
  • Navigate computer systems for alignment machines, wheel balancers, and TPMS tools and record work order information
  • Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and develop professional skills
  • Understand and adhere to all company policies, procedures, safety, and environmental rules
  • Use appropriate PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and additional protection as necessary
  • Maintain shop cleanliness and appearance to uphold a safe and secure work environment
  • Work with your team to provide excellent customer service

Qualifications:

  • Experience installing aftermarket accessories for trucks and Jeeps
  • Experience with mount and balance, suspension components, and accessory installations
  • Possess your own set of professional tools
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record and at least 5 years of driving experience
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., independently, and 100 lbs. with team assistance
  • Ability to read and follow written instructions and work orders
  • Ability to work scheduled store hours at the assigned location
  • Automotive trade school graduates with hands-on mechanical experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Preferred Skills:
    • Suspension and lift kit installation
    • Alignments
    • ASE certifications
    • Lighting, winches, and accessory wiring
    • Welding experience
    • Axle, drivetrain, or ring and pinion experience
  • Work Environment:
    • Retail store service department
    • Automotive garage with concrete floors, industrial structure, vehicle lifts, workbenches/workstations, stationary and moving vehicles and other automotive workshop facility machinery
    • Work includes movement around vehicles, working in various physical positions including balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and lifting, and the safe operation of power tools and test equipment. May be exposed to loud noise, vibration, exhaust fumes, and other service and repair conditions.
