Job description

Yaskawa is searching for an OEM Business Development Engineer. The OEM Business Development Engineer will execute  projects related to the integration of VFDs into Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) products and conducts business development functions and reports into the OEM Manager. This role will provide technical guidance and support to OEM customers and internal teams on VFD integration, application and performance. Along with working closely with OEM customers, sales teams, and engineering departments to understand project requirements and ensure alignment. Another primary focus of this role will be preparing technical documentation , including specifications, drawings, and manuals, for VFD integration and OEM projects. On the Business Development side this role will conduct market research to identify potential customers, industry trends, and competitors. As well as develop strategies to penetrate new markets and expand existing ones.   This role is responsible for providing technical expertise and support to customers and internal team, address technical inquiries and troubleshoot issues.  Lastly all will be responsible for reporting and analysis of sales performance and execute special projects as assigned. 

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Additionally, candidates should possess the skills to handle a project engineering role within the industrial automation, OEM manufacturing, or electrical engineering sectors. The ideal candidate will have a general understanding of VFDs, their applications, and integration into OEM equipment. Lastly, the perfect candidate will have excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams, customers, and suppliers and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
