Job description

Summary

Registers and follows patients with a diagnosis of malignancy; retrieves and analyzes registry data and disseminates data in accordance with professional ethics.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Must be credentialed by the National Cancer Registrars Association and hold an active Oncology Data Specialist (ODS, ODS-C, or ODS-Certified) credential or be eligible for certification
  2.  Must obtain Oncology Data Specialist (ODS, ODS-C, or ODS-Certified) credential within one year

Preferred Qualifications

  1. One to three years of previous tumor registry experience.
  2. Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), in conjunction with Oncology Data Specialist (ODS, ODS-C, or ODS-Certified) credential, or eligibility.
