Description:

Supervise school-aged children during after school hours and evenings. Assist with homework and skill development. Build positive relationships with children, volunteers, and parents. Provide a safe and supportive environment while facilitating activities. Responsible for completing tasks and projects that support and maintain an environment that instills the advancement of those we serve towards dependency on Jesus Christ and financial self-sufficiency; the fulfillment of ministry mission & eight key values; and the efficient & accountable stewardship of ministry resources.


This is a part-time role at our DRR Ranch location in 19292 El Toro Rd, Silverado, CA 92676.


The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday from 12 PM - 5 PM.

Requirements:

Job Requirements

Education: Certificate from college or technical school and/or training, RBT (Registered Behavioral Technician) certification.

Experience: 2-3 yrs of job related work experience.

Communication Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups.

Math Skills: Intermediate: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages.

Reasoning: High Skills: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Job Related Certifications / Licensing / Professional Registry or Memberships Requirements:

(List below any required licensing/certifications to perform any essential job duties). Graduate Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis.

Driving Requirements: Required to drive a DOT Company Vehicle.

Other Skills and Abilities: Behavioral Health Experience/Applied Behavioral Analysis.

Essential Job Duties with optional subcategories:

  1. Supervision and Guidance: Supervise and monitor children during after-school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Provide guidance and support in a positive and encouraging manner. Promote a respectful and inclusive environment for all participants. Help guide and be a role model for Student-Teachers that are working in the program.
  2. Activity Planning and Implementation: Plan and organize age-appropriate activities, games, and projects for children. Facilitate engaging and educational activities that promote social, emotional, and physical development. Encourage participation and enthusiasm among the children.
  3. Homework Assistance and Academic Support: Assist children with homework assignments and academic tasks. Provide tutoring or guidance in areas where children require additional support. Foster a love for learning and help children develop effective study habits.
  4. Establish and Maintain effective working relationships with parents/guardians, student teachers, school staff and outside contractors (ABA providers).
  5. As directed by Manager, participate in Individual Education Plan (IEP) meetings.
  6. Transport PCE/K-12 children and/or staff as needed in OCRM/DRR passenger vans.
  7. Communication and Collaboration: Maintain open communication with Parents and Student-Teachers regarding children's progress and behavior. Collaborate with other PCE staff members and volunteers to ensure consistency in program implementation.
  8. Behavior Management: Implement appropriate behavior management techniques to ensure a positive and respectful environment. Maintain accurate and detailed records of behavioral assessments, interventions, and progress on behavior goals set by PCE Manager, PCE Behavior Support Specialist, and parents. Address behavioral issues calmly and effectively, following established protocols and policies.
