About The Role

Are you a skilled Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician looking to join a team where your expertise is valued and your career can grow? 
At OCL, we are expanding our team and seeking dedicated professionals for upcoming shovel outage work. Whether you are an HET or a Journeyperson Millwright, if you have a passion for "Doing the Job Right," we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a key member of our maintenance team, you will lead and assist with critical shovel operations, ensuring our fleet remains at peak performance:

  • Component change outs
  • Undercarriage change outs 
  • Shovel splits 
  • Track frame change outs 
  • Bucket change outs
  • General repair 
  • Maintenance and lube checks
  • Work collaboratively and professionally with the crew and the client

What You Bring

  • Journey-certified Heavy Duty Mechanic/HET or Millwright with an Inter-provincial Red Seal Certification
  • Must have a JM Off Road or Millwright Ticket
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of related experience
  • Preference will be given to individuals with previous shovel and mine equipment experience
  • Must be ok with working night shifts
  • Driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract
  • Aerial Work Platform (AWP) training an asset
  • Must successfully complete a site pre-access drug and alcohol test and various client orientations
  • CSTS/OSSA or BSO/CSO plus various other site specific training
  • Confined Space, AWP, Fall Protection are required
  • Crane and Rigging experience and training is an asset
  • H2S Awareness is required
  • WHMIS 2015 is required 
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test 
  • Great attitude towards health and safety
  • Strong and independent work ethic
  • Must be legally eligible to work Canada
