We're a powerhouse in R&D innovation, the home of Teledyne's Central Research Laboratory, and the world's leading provider of infrared sensors, with over 60 years of tech evolution and customers like NASA, ESA, and the US Department of Defense.
What You'll Do:
  • Develop advanced power and thermal management technologies for military and commercial applications
  • Design, build, and validate prototype systems to demonstrate new concepts
  • Conduct experimental research in heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and micro-fluidics
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and identify solution pathways
  • Analyze data, interpret results, and refine designs using sound engineering judgment
  • Contribute to the advancement of innovative R&D initiatives within the Power and Thermal-Fluids group

What You Need:
  • M.S. or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or a related field (0-5 years of experience; higher experience considered)
  • Strong technical background in heat transfer and fluid dynamics
  • Hands-on laboratory and experimental research experience
  • Proficiency in data analysis, interpretation, and technical problem-solving
  • Familiarity with modeling and simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS Fluent, Icepak, Workbench) is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in dynamic, cross-functional teams
  • Passion for innovation, continuous learning, and developing cutting-edge technologies
  • US citizenship due to access restrictions.
