Import / Export Analyst

What is your role?

As an Import / Export Analyst will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring daily import and export transactions, ensuring that customs documentation and shipment information are complete, accurate, and provided on time. The position will work closely with customs brokers, freight forwarders, logistics, shipping, receiving, procurement, and other internal teams to support customs clearance, resolve operational issues, maintain accurate records in Prisma, and ensure compliance with applicable Mexican and U.S. import/export requirements  

Major responsibilities and tasks
  • Regulatory Compliance
    Ensure adherence to international trade regulations.
  • Documentation Management
    Oversee import/export documentation and filings.
  • Audits & Training
    Support compliance through audits and employee training.
  • Risk Management
    Identify and mitigate trade compliance risks.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure compliance.
What do you need to have?
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in Trade Compliance and Customs.
  • Experience with MEX and U.S. export/import regulations and international trade laws.
  • Knowledge of Global Trade management systems and ERP systems.
  • Experience with temporary imports and customs inventory controls.
  • Knowledge of Annex 24 and Annex 30 processes.
  • Experience reviewing Mexican customs declarations and supporting documents.
  • Experience in management of an IMMEX
