Role Description The Import Export Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Peachtree City, GA. This role is responsible for coordinating import and export shipments, preparing and reviewing documentation, and ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs and international trade regulations. The specialist will communicate with clients, carriers, and government agencies to track and manage cargo, resolve shipment issues, and provide status updates. Daily tasks include data entry into logistics and brokerage systems, calculating duties and fees, verifying classification and valuation, and maintaining accurate records for audits and reporting. The role also involves supporting internal process improvements, contributing to customer service initiatives, and collaborating with colleagues to meet timelines and service standards.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess skills related to Import and Import Export operations, such as cargo coordination, entry processing, and inbound shipment management.
  • Candidates should possess skills related to Export and International Trade, including export documentation, trade regulations, and outbound freight coordination.
  • Relevant experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain operations, preferably within a customs brokerage or NVOCC environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with clients, carriers, and regulatory agencies.
  • Proficiency with logistics or customs brokerage software and standard office applications (e.g., spreadsheets, databases).
  • Knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations, Incoterms, and basic trade compliance requirements; relevant certifications or coursework in international trade are a plus.
  • Ability to work on-site in Peachtree City, GA, collaborate with team members, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
