Part-Time Occupational Health Nurse - RN

Billerica, MA - Billerica, MA 01821; Danvers, MA - Danvers, MA 01923

Overview

Salary Range $50.00 - $58.00 Hourly Position Type Part Time Travel Percentage Up to 25% Category Nursing

Description

We are looking for a part-time (16 hours per week) Occupational Health Nurse (RN) to help support our onsite clinic in both Billerica and Danvers, MA. This position will split time between these 2 clinic locations. The onsite professional will provide first aid and medical care to clinic employees as requested/needed, and within the RN scope of practice, following treatment care guidelines set forth by the occupational health director and client policy / procedures. Schedule: 2 days per week; 8:00am - 4:30pm.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide on-site treatment / management of injuries and minimize the need for off-site medical treatment
  • Give on-site care, first aid and follow up to occupationally injured/ill workers
  • Manage open workers comp and short-term disability cases as needed
  • Maintain a medical record database and provide reports to management as applicable
  • Maintain OSHA records as applicable
  • May perform medical testing including but limited to: TB tests, blood draws, immunizations, drug screening, vision tests, hearing tests, respirator fit tests and medical evaluations
  • May perform First Aid, CPR, AED and other training as necessary
  • Maintain clinic supplies for treatment and preventative measures in the workplace
  • Provide preventative health education as needed
Qualifications

Education/Licenses

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a valid RN license in the state of Massachusetts.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing is highly preferred
  • Must hold current BLS certification
  • 3–5 years experience required
  • 2-3 years' experience in an urgent care, emergency department or occupational health setting preferred
  • Experience ergonomics preferred
  • Certification in Occupational Health preferred

  • Working under stress and use of computer/phone required.
  • Manual dexterity required for use of computer keyboard.
  • Occasionally may be required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel and/or crouch.

Work Environment
  • Mainly indoor, office environment conditions.
  • The noise level is usually moderate.
  • Air quality is good and temperature is controlled.

The hourly pay range for this position is $50 - $58 per hour. Final compensation offered to the final candidate within this range depends on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and qualifications.
