Job description

Oak View Group (OVG) is the global leader in premium live entertainment infrastructure and services, with a platform spanning venue development and end-to-end capabilities across venue management, hospitality, and sponsorship sales. Founded in 2015, the company serves a collection of seven world-class owned venues and a client roster of the most iconic arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions, spanning four continents. 


The Catering Server is responsible for serving food and beverage products to preferred guests in the venue during events. Ensures quality of food presentation. Must be familiar with and follow all state and company alcohol service policies. Must be able to maintain excellent attendance in accordance with the attendance policy.

This position is for the Pacific Amphitheatre.

This role will pay an hourly wage of $17.00-$20.00 

This is a seasonal role from June 18, 2026 and will end on September 30, 2026.

This position will remain open until August 28, 2026.


The OC Fair & Event Center is a year-round event venue located in Costa Mesa, California. It is best known as the home of the annual OC Fair, but the property also hosts a wide variety of events throughout the year, including concerts, trade shows, festivals, sporting events, community events, conventions, and private gatherings. The OC Fair & Event Center serves as a major entertainment and community hub for Orange County, offering indoor and outdoor event spaces, exhibit halls, arenas, meeting rooms, and entertainment venues. The property features attractions such as the Pacific Amphitheatre, equestrian facilities, and event grounds that accommodate large-scale public events and corporate functions.


  • Responsible for serving food and beverage products to preferred guests in the venue during events.
  • Responsible for serving meals to guests or directing guests to the buffet line.
  • Responsible for refilling salt, pepper, sugar, cream, condiments, and napkins.
  • Responsible for replacing tableware and linens as necessary.
  • Responsible for observing guests to respond to any additional requests.
  • Recommends certain menu items and identifies ingredients or explains how various items on the menu are prepared.
  • Assists in setting up functions including linens, dishware, glassware, and silverware.
  • Maintains sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
  • Show demonstrated ability to meet the company standard for excellent attendance.

  • Must possess a valid California Food Handler Certificate as required by State Law.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Three or more months of experience in the food service industry preferred.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and respectfully with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff, and guests while fostering a positive, enthusiastic, and cooperative work environment.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced, and event-driven environment.
