What We Need:
Obagi is seeking a strategic, creative, and highly organized Social Media Manager to lead day-to-day social media execution and community engagement across our social channels. This role will play a key part in shaping how Obagi shows up culturally while maintaining clinical credibility and professional authority.
What You'll Do:
Social Strategy & Channel Management
  • Support execution of Obagi's social media strategy across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and emerging platforms
  • Own and manage the social content calendar, ensuring alignment with campaign priorities, product launches, brand initiatives, and key business moments
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Brand Marketing, Creative, Influencer, Professional Marketing, and E-commerce teams to ensure cohesive storytelling and execution
  • Stay ahead of platform trends, social best practices, and emerging content formats to evolve Obagi's social presence
Content Development & Creative Briefing
  • Develop strategic creative briefs for social-first content across educational, brand, campaign, and trend-driven storytelling
  • Partner closely with internal creative teams, external creators, and influencers to bring content concepts to life
  • Ensure content aligns with Obagi's premium, science-backed brand positioning while remaining engaging and culturally relevant
  • Assist in content ideation and development for launches, partnerships, events, physician storytelling, before-and-after transformations, and UGC initiatives
Community Management
  • Lead day-to-day community management across all social platforms, including comments, DMs, tagged content, and audience engagement
  • Foster a strong sense of community with both consumers and skincare professionals through thoughtful and timely engagement
  • Monitor sentiment and identify potential social risks or escalations, partnering with leadership and customer care teams as needed
  • Surface recurring audience questions, trends, and insights to internal stakeholders
Social Reporting, Analytics & Listening
  • Track and report on social performance, delivering actionable insights and recommendations on a weekly/monthly basis
  • Utilize social listening tools to monitor brand sentiment, competitor activity, trending conversations, and emerging opportunities
  • Analyze performance data to optimize content strategy, engagement, and audience growth
  • Help evolve reporting dashboards and identify new ways to leverage social data to inform broader marketing initiatives
UGC & Creator Content
  • Manage UGC content development through platforms such as Cohley, including creator briefing, content selection, and optimization
  • Identify opportunities to amplify authentic patient, provider, and creator storytelling across social channels
  • Partner with influencer team to ensure alignment across earned, owned, and paid social efforts
What You'll Need:
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Marketing, Advertising, Communication, or related field.
  • 5-7+ years of relevant social marketing experience, with an elevated aesthetic eye and proven ability to create engaging, high-performing social content while maintaining brand standards
    • Prior experience within beauty, skincare, aesthetics, wellness, or med device highly preferred
    • Previous agency management and experience supporting product launches, influencer campaigns, and experiential activations required
  • Deep understanding of social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Youtube) and reporting tools (Sprinklr, Dash Hudson, Sprout Social, etc.)
    • Experience with UGC/content creator platforms such as Cohley required
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to details; demonstrated ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines with a collaborative mindset
  • Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast paced, ever-changing environment; someone who thrives in ambiguity and adapts quickly, with a passion for creative problem solving.
  • Possess an energetic, driven, positive attitude.
