Job description

The Department of Dermatology is excited to announce an opportunity for a cosmetic dermatologist to become part of our full-time faculty! Join a dynamic team of cosmetic dermatologists and advanced practice providers led by Dr. Suzan Obagi at our Cosmetic Surgery and Skin Health Center, situated in Wexford, PA, and Pittsburgh, PA.

Our Wexford facility, just 20 minutes from downtown, features a cutting-edge cosmetic program that is rapidly growing. Nestled in a picturesque suburban area, our newly constructed 11,000 square foot office provides an ideal environment for aesthetic practices. Equipped with three procedure rooms and over ten advanced laser systems—including q-switched, fractional CO2, vascular lasers, hair removal lasers, non-ablative lasers, and skin-tightening devices—our center attracts patients from across the tri-state region seeking treatments such as neuromodulators, fillers, laser therapies, liposuction, mini-facelifts, and blepharoplasties.

Our second location is in the charming Shadyside neighborhood, located just 10 minutes from the city. This site caters to our laser and injectables clientele, drawing patients from a broad area of the state.

We invite board-certified and board-eligible physicians with a passion for both cosmetic and medical dermatology to apply. Candidates can expect a collaborative culture, a substantial referral network, a competitive salary, malpractice coverage, health insurance, and a CME allowance.

Our department serves a diverse and medically intricate population in the greater Pittsburgh area, while also attracting patients from across Pennsylvania and the surrounding states. The extensive University of Pittsburgh/UPMC campus encompasses 40 hospitals and 800 outpatient clinical locations, along with a global healthcare presence. The Department of Dermatology operates seven clinics, offering a range of services including general dermatology, phototherapy, laser treatments, Mohs micrographic surgery, and aesthetic services, as well as inpatient consultations. Our Dermatopathology unit is located on our Oakland campus, staffed by four full-time dermatopathologists and two dermatopathology fellows. Additionally, our teledermatology program provides both synchronous and asynchronous care to patients statewide, facilitating inpatient consultations and in-office e-consults with community physicians.

We are an affirmative action, equal-opportunity employer. We encourage women and minorities to apply. All qualified candidates will be considered for employment without discrimination based on disability or protected veteran status.
