An OB Laborist is an obstetrician-gynecologist who works exclusively in a hospital setting to provide care for pregnant patients, including managing labor and delivery. They handle emergency obstetric cases, assist with high-risk pregnancies, and ensure around-the-clock coverage for labor and delivery units. Ob Laborists typically work 12- or 24-hour shifts dedicated to managing patients in labor and responding to obstetric emergencies.
