OB/GYN Medical Assistant needed in Alpharetta


Exceptional Recruiting is seeking a trained Medical Assistant to join highly reputable OB/GYN practice in their Alpharetta office.


Details:

  • Direct hire
  • Base location: Alpharetta
  • Full time hours 7:30-4:30pm
  • Full benefits package
  • Wonderful team oriented work environment
  • Must have a strong desire to make a difference
  • Efficiency, empathy and compassion required
  • Some travel to other office locations will be required
  • Pay depends upon experience: $19.00-$23.50/hr to start

Responsibilities:

  • Administer nursing type care to Obstetrics and Gynecology patients in a clinic environment.
  • Provide care which could include vitals, taking patient histories, calling in prescriptions, obtaining prior authorizations, referrals, responding to phone and email messages, setting up for/assisting with procedures such as Pap tests, Colposcopies, IUD insertions, etc
  • Provide all patients with high quality customer service and compassionate care regardless of socioeconomic and racial background
  • Communicate with physicians, management, and staff members to ensure proper flow of business throughout the workday
  • Proactively resolve issues and patient concerns
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, CLIA, and HIPAA guidelines

Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with ECW and OB/GYN experience beneficial, but not required
  • Must have completed an Externship and a qualified Medical Assisting Certification program
  • Strong communication skills with urgency and an ability to build rapport with patients, parents, staff, medical providers, and management teams
  • Solid references, strong work ethic & attendance, reliability, and longevity on past positions
  • Some travel to other clinic locations may be required to ensure proper staffing levels
  • Ability to work proactively in a team oriented and fast paced work environment,
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills required
