Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) – Outpatient

Location: Los Angeles, CA 90048
Shift: Day Shift
Schedule: 5 × 8-hour shifts per week
Shift Window: 6:00 AM–6:00 PM
Hours: 40 hours/week

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide direct patient care in an outpatient OBGYN clinic. The LVN will support physicians and other healthcare professionals in delivering safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care.

The ideal candidate will have strong outpatient and OBGYN experience, excellent patient-care skills, and demonstrated proficiency in blood draws and venipuncture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care to patients in an outpatient OBGYN setting.
  • Assist physicians and clinical staff with examinations, procedures, and patient-care activities.
  • Obtain and document patient vital signs, medical histories, and other relevant clinical information.
  • Perform blood draws, venipuncture, and laboratory specimen collection.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and procedures and provide appropriate clinical instructions.
  • Collect, label, and process laboratory specimens according to established protocols.
  • Administer medications and treatments within the scope of LVN practice and applicable policies.
  • Monitor patients and report changes in condition or concerns to appropriate healthcare providers.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Educate patients regarding treatments, procedures, medications, follow-up care, and general health instructions.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and properly stocked clinical areas.
  • Follow infection-control, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, medical assistants, laboratory personnel, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Float to other appropriate clinical areas based on operational needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of outpatient clinic experience.
  • At least 1 year of OBGYN clinic experience.
  • Active California LVN License at the time of submission.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Current IV/Blood Withdrawal certification.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with blood draws and venipuncture.
  • Strong clinical, communication, and patient-care skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced outpatient environment.
  • Ability and willingness to float as required.
