Job description

We are seeking a Portuguese bilingual candidate to join our team at Family Health Center of Worcester!

Position Summary: The OB Advocate will perform outreach and general case management for health center patients by focusing on their OB health needs and will use a multidisciplinary team approach to meet medical, nutritional, psychosocial, and health education needs of clients and patients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintains working knowledge of and adheres to the program Manual, agency handbook and Policies and Procedures
  • Commitment to providing cost conscious, fiscally responsible, timely, efficient, effective, safe, patient-centered, culturally competent, equitable, and participatory health care.
  • Attends all required trainings as per Agency Policy, Program Manual and Funder Guidelines.
  • Arrives on time for work and remains at work for whole shift and have regular and predicable attendance.
  • Maintains appropriate boundaries and ethical standards with staff, clients, visitors and outside providers as detailed in Agency Policy.
  • Maintains positive and professional working relationship with co-workers, managers, clients, visitors and outside providers
  • Strong and clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills (included but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook)

Qualifications and Education Requirements

One of the following combinations of education and employment experience must be met in order to be considered for the position:

Two to four years post high school training required. BA/BS strongly preferred.



Minimum of two years relevant work or volunteer experience required.

Proven ability to perform patient assessment and collaborate and coordinate with outside agencies is required.







  • Bilingual in English/Portuguese
  • Case management experience including proven organizational skills are strongly preferred.



Monday-Friday; 8:30am- 5:00pm.
