About Your Role
This role is responsible for managing and coordinating all phases of construction projects including pre-construction, bid and award, construction, and closeout. The OAR I serves as the Owner's representative, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with DSA standards and regulatory requirements.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management
OR
- Bachelor's degree with ability to obtain Certified Construction Manager (CCM) within one (1) year
OR
- Possession of a valid Certified Construction Manager (CCM) credential in lieu of degree
What You'll Need to Get the Job Done
Ten (10) years of full-time professional experience in construction and/or project management
Minimum three (3) years managing complex projects exceeding $10M in construction value
Experience with commercial, public works, or educational facility construction
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and multiple stakeholders

Professional Engineer (PE) - State of California
OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification
LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP)
What You'll Do
Manage and coordinate all phases of assigned construction projects from pre-construction through closeout
Review pre-construction documents and provide comments to design teams
Prepare reports to senior management on project status and progress
Coordinate with public agencies and District staff to ensure compliance with project requirements
Manage project budgets and schedules to meet District standards
Oversee contractor activities, schedules, and submittals
Coordinate responses to Requests for Clarifications (RFCs) and related documentation
Review substitution submittals for compliance with specifications and District requirements
Evaluate and negotiate contractor change order proposals
Analyze and address schedule impacts in a timely manner
Review and monitor contractor, architect, and consultant payments
Administer professional service agreements between architects and the District
Coordinate delivery of fixtures, furniture, and equipment
Manage project closeout including DSA certification and financial closeout
Perform additional duties as assigned

Salary Requirements
$194,000 - $205,000 annually
