About the Position: The purpose of this position is to serve as the Lead Human Resources Technician (OA) responsible for directing and guiding 3 - 5 Human Resources Technicians in GS-203-05 or military equivalent.Incumbent of this position provides technical expertise, guidance and leadership to the Processing Element of the Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS).Qualifications:

Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Entering data in automated system(s) to record applicant processing information; 2) Contacting applicants to acquire or verify critical personnel data; 3) Maintaining electronic or paper records in an automated system; AND 4) Providing personnel related guidance to staff members or applicants. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).Education:Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.
