About this Position

Assists physicians and staff in the delivery of patient care as directed following established methods, procedures, and standards. Under minimum supervision, utilized a systematic approach to patient care incorporating the following: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This position also provides administrative support to the department to include the OMM Clerkship and provider schedules.
 

Required Qualifications
  • Vocational/Technical

    Practical Nursing 

    (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
    • Six (6) months of clinical experience required unless internship completed in the OSU clinic system.
    • 2 years college or technical training

Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:

  • Licensed Practical Nurse licensure required in the state of OK.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • Valid Driver's License

Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:

  • Skill in delivery of patient care and procedures; medication administration, triage experience, direct patient care.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer literacy required.
  • Ability to learn new processes, tools, and equipment as required. 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Preferred experience in EPIC
  • Preferred (2) years minimum in direct supervisory or managerial experience
