Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Architect to support the migration of mission-critical applications and data from a restricted network environment into a secure cloud environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in cloud architecture, infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, and DoD compliance, with hands-on experience supporting cloud migrations and the Risk Management Framework (RMF), Authority to Operate (ATO), and eMASS processes.

This position will be responsible for the full cloud migration lifecycle, from evaluating cloud service options and designing the target environment through security accreditation and final application cutover.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze Cloud Service Provider (CSP) options, cloud environments, and services to support the migration of applications and data.
  • Design and establish secure cloud infrastructure and supporting environments.
  • Develop cloud architecture and migration strategies for applications, models, and associated data.
  • Establish and support secure connectivity between the cloud environment, external data sources, and required applications.
  • Conduct cloud security analysis and develop appropriate security and connectivity plans.
  • Support DISA registration and Cyber Security Service Provider (CSSP) assessment and selection activities.
  • Support the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Authority to Operate (ATO) process.
  • Develop and maintain eMASS documentation and authorization artifacts.
  • Coordinate with government, security, infrastructure, and application teams throughout the accreditation and migration process.
  • Support the environment through the authorization process and obtain appropriate Authorizing Official (AO) approval.
  • Execute application migration and final cloud cutover after accreditation.
  • Develop technical architecture diagrams and supporting documentation using Microsoft Visio and Microsoft 365/O365 tools.
Required Qualifications
  • Active Secret security clearance required; Top Secret preferred.
  • Security+ CE certification required.
  • Environment Training Certificate.
  • 5+ years of experience in systems administration.
  • 3–5+ years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting cloud solutions.
  • Experience with IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS cloud service models.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure, networking, connectivity, and security.
  • Experience supporting application and/or data migration to cloud environments.
  • Experience with RMF, ATO, and eMASS processes.
  • Strong written, verbal, communication, and customer relationship skills.
  • Ability to create technical diagrams and documentation using Visio and Microsoft 365/O365.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with Army cloud environments, including CArmy Cloud.
  • Experience evaluating and implementing multiple cloud environments.
  • Experience with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience working in DoD, federal government, or other highly regulated environments.
  • Experience with DISA and CSSP requirements.
