Program Director of Nursing Education - Nursing Professional Development - NYP/Queens

In this role, the Program Director of Nursing Education - Nursing Professional Development (NPD) will oversee the daily operations of nursing education services for our advanced, 535 bed Level 1 Trauma Center located in the heart of Flushing, Queens. The Program Director for Nursing Education has responsibility for program planning, development, implementation, evaluation and daily operations of nursing education services within the organizational framework and Division of Nursing.

Responsibilities include the development and maintenance of processes that support Nursing Education within the Division of Nursing which support evidence-based nursing practice and meet the requirements of state, federal and regulatory agencies. You will act as a change agent, and partner with our leaders who encourage and support continuous growth in a collaborative environment. Seize this opportunity to become a transformational leader via shared governance.

This is a Full Time Monday - Friday, 8 AM-4:15 PM day shift position at NYP/Queens hospital.

Required Criteria

  • Master's in nursing or related field if already holds BSN degree. Either bachelor or graduate degree must be in nursing

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing

  • Current New York State RN license

  • Certification in Nursing Professional Development

  • Five (5) years of education experience and progressive leadership experience in nursing

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Possess working knowledge of clinical education and teaching principles
