Job Description

NYCHA's Elevator Services & Repair Department is seeking a reliable candidate to assist Department's Maintenance Workers with non- elevator related issues such as repairing/replacing lights, air conditioners in motor rooms, and transporting parts. Other duties may include maintaining specific work areas and janitorial duties. They will be under the direct supervision of the Supervisor of Elevator Mechanic, with some latitude for independent judgment and decision making.
Additional Information:
1. Possession of a valid driver's license is required. Applicants must have the ability to drive with manual transmission.
2. For NYCHA employees: employees applying for transfer, promotional, title or level change opportunities must have served a period of one year at current location and in current title and level (if applicable).
3. NYCHA residents are encouraged to apply.
