Job description
Math Interventionist (Grades 68)
The Math Interventionist supports students in grades 68 by providing targeted, data-driven instruction to address gaps in mathematical understanding. This position aligns with Indiana Academic Standards for Mathematics and supports student achievement on the ILEARN. The interventionist works within a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework to ensure all students receive appropriate academic interventions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 math interventions through small-group and individualized instruction aligned to Indiana Academic Standards
- Use multiple data sources (e.g., ILEARN results, NWEA, classroom assessments) to identify students in need of support
- Implement evidence-based instructional strategies and intervention programs targeting skill deficits
- Conduct ongoing progress monitoring and adjust interventions based on student performance
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to ensure alignment between intervention and core instruction (Tier 1)
- Participate in and support school-based MTSS/RTI teams, including data meetings and intervention planning
- Assist in developing and monitoring Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) or intervention plans for students
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with district and IDOE requirements
- Support preparation for ILEARN by reinforcing key standards, test-taking strategies, and mathematical reasoning skills
- Communicate student progress with teachers, administrators, and families

Qualifications
