Senior NVH Quality Engineer

About the Team:

The role is responsible for supporting quality standards, analyzing manufacturing and acoustic testing processes, and driving corrective actions to improve product performance and customer satisfaction. This position also partners with internal teams, plants, and technical specialists to resolve quality issues, develop testing methods, and ensure compliance with customer and company requirements.


What you can look forward to as a Senior NVH Quality Engineer:

  • Support and comply with company corporate principles, quality requirements, and established business goals.
  • Monitor manufacturing processes and assess product quality to ensure compliance with customer and company specifications.
  • Develop and maintain quality documentation, procedures, risk analyses, audit records, lessons learned, and evidence related to recalls, field returns, complaints, scrap, and rework.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T requirements, and measurement tools to support quality evaluations.
  • Analyze acoustic measurements and vehicle testing data to identify noise sources and transmission paths in automatic transmissions.
  • Develop correlations between acoustic serial test benches and automatic transmission behavior in vehicles.
  • Support noise testing set points, statistical analysis, test-result presentations, warranty investigations, and noise root-cause analysis.
  • Drive continuous improvement of acoustic test methods, machine commissioning and acceptance, internal reject Pareto analysis, corrective actions, customer and plant support, and stop-note processing.


Your profile as an NVH Quality Engineer:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; master's degree in Engineering preferred.
  • 7-8+ years of engineering experience including at least 2 in a quality-related role. 
  • NVH engineering experience is required. 
  • Experience spent in a manufacturing environment is required; automotive industry experience preferred. 
  • Strong knowledge of problem-solving methodologies and quality tools.
  • Recognized advanced problem-solving qualification preferred, such as Six Sigma Green Belt, Six Sigma Black Belt, or Shainin.
  • Experience in a leadership or management role, with the ability to train and develop others.
