Job description

Position Title: ย School Nutrition Assistant
Effective Date:ย  2026-2027 school year, 183-day position
Reports to: ย School Nutrition Manager
Qualifications: ย High school diploma or GED certificate is desired. ย Previous school cafeteria experience preferred.
Performance Responsibilities:
Participates in the preparation, cooking, and serving of food.
ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Stores and cares for foods and supplies.
ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Cleans, services and cares for equipment and facilities.
ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Checks invoices and inventory of food and supplies.
ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Records inventory numbers of food and supplies properly.
ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Follows the daily work schedule and uses standardized recipes for food preparation.
ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Plans for the use of left-over food with the manager.
ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Keeps work areas neat and clean.
ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance.
