Job Summary
BASIC FUNCTION:
Under the supervision of the Child Nutrition Services management team, serves as a key support to the Child Nutrition Assistant III, responsible for overseeing and supporting food preparation cooking, and service of meals, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. Plays a critical role in managing kitchen operations, supporting staff, and maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety while ensuring district, county, federal, and state program regulations and driving increased meal participation. Child Nutrition Assistant II should be able to perform all Child Nutrition Assistant I duties.

REQUIREMENTS:
Two years of quantity food preparation experience;
Cooking and baking experience with diverse food items;
Proficient in utilizing school food service data processing software;
Alternatively, a combination of education and practical experience demonstrates the development of the required knowledge and abilities and
Valid ServSafe Manager Certification or equivalent.
