The main resposibilities for the Purchasing Site Representative (PSR) are to monitor and enforce purchasing processes, coordinate the purchasing activity between local teams/corporate and perform small local purchases below $250,000.00 this amount may be higher at times with the appropriate approvals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Entering Purchase Requisition/Orders into SAP.
    • Non-stock production supplies
    • Outside Services
    • Chemicals
    • Other miscellaneous supplies
  • Create/Update SAP Contracts
    • Spare parts
    • Production Consumables: Ink, WWT Chemicals. Other Items not under Chicago or France Purchasing Teams
  • Translating needs from the different departments into purchase orders through the SAP system. Able to code each purchase order by department ordering. Uses a high degree of accuracy in this process.
  • Collaborates with Master Data Administrators to set up new vendors/suppliers into the SAP system.
  • Responsible for solving pricing issues of discrepancies with receipts.
  • Generates reports for plant department heads regarding purchasing history, etc and monitor overall site purchasing activity with appropriate KPIs
  • Warrant of purchasing procedure respect.
  • Coordinate purchasing activity between plant departments and corporate purchasing departments.
  • Participate actively in the PSR community.
  • Maintain SCAR Index. Send SCARs to vendors and work to close all open SCARs in a timely fashion, coordinating with Quality Dept.
  • Sign Vendor Contracts. Work to keep the plant Contracts that are needed - current, coordinating with dept. heads as required
  • Coordinate and work with Engineering team on CAPEX projects.
    • Create PO and create contract for CAPEX Projects under $250,000 or higher with appropriate approval
  • Will coordinate smaller NORAM projects.
  • Support implementation on cost savings and optimization initiative meeting cost savings targets.
  • Follows all Safety Rules and procedures by working safely and ensuring safety of others.
  • Comply with all quality and work-rule requirements.
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.
  • Follows all Good Manufacturing Practices as stated within the policy.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Requires 2 - 4 years of related work experience in purchasing required.
  • SAP knowledge preferred or related ERP type system
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams is required.

Competencies:
  • Must be organized and able to manage time well, handling multiple tasks and projects.
  • Must have a positive attitude and strong work ethic; also, must be persuasive and diplomatic.
  • Some college coursework in the purchasing field is a plus.
  • Must demonstrate proficient data entry skills and possess excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • High level of accuracy is required. Must be professional, courteous, detail oriented and very organized.
