The Food & Nutrition Services team at Baptist Health Lexington plays an important role in supporting patient health and comfort through high-quality meal service. Room Service Associates serve as the primary contact between patients and the food service department, ensuring that every meal is delivered with care, compassion, and accuracy. Whether assisting patients with menu selections or delivering trays to the bedside, this role is key to creating a positive patient experience.

Job Description:

The Room Service Associate is responsible for delivering patient meals in a professional, efficient, and courteous manner. Key responsibilities include:

Assisting patients in making meal selections aligned with their dietary restrictions.

Delivering and retrieving patient trays in a timely, sanitary, and respectful manner.

Following infection control and safety protocols throughout meal service.

Communicating effectively with the diet office, nursing staff, and production team regarding special diets and patient needs.

Assembling trays and maintaining tray accuracy and presentation standards.

Providing assistance with tray setup and responding to special requests from patients.

Participating in department initiatives to improve service and patient satisfaction.

Requirements:
