Job description

CentraCare Monticello Hospital is committed to providing compassionate, high-quality healthcare services to the Monticello community and surrounding areas. Our mission is to improve the health and well-being of those we serve through accessible, excellent healthcare. We are seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team as a Nutritional Services Associate. As a Nutritional Services Associate, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our patients receive nutritious and appetizing meals tailored to their dietary needs. You will work closely with our dietary team to prepare, deliver, and serve meals to patients while adhering to strict food safety and sanitation guidelines. To qualify for this job, we’re not so much worried about your education and experience, though prior food service or customer service experience is helpful.  

Main Responsibilities:

  • Accurately read menu and place correct items on tray before serving to a patient.
  • Collect and remove trash to designated containers keeping work areas clean.
  • Collect assigned trays or clean dining rooms following safety and sanitation standards.
  • Operate cash register and wait on customers as needed.
  • Work with co-workers to get dishes washed and food carts cleaned within deadlines.
  • Demonstrate skill and good judgment when using dish machine, disposal, food carts, and other equipment.
  • Clean work area upon completion of each task. 

Schedule:

  • Part-time; 56hours every two weeks
  • Variable days 8-hour shift between 5am-7:30pm
  • Shifts include; 5am-1:30pm, 6am-2:30pm, 7am-3:30pm, and 11am-7:30pm
  • Every other weekend and rotating holidays. 

Pay and Benefits:

  • Starting at $17.46 per hour; however, we pay more for experience.
    • Pay range: $17.46 - $26.41 per hour

Qualifications:

  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and/or work independently as needed.
  • Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
  • Strong written and verbal skills.
  • Strong interpersonal human relations skills.
