Job description

Position Description: Delta College is seeking a highly student-oriented Registered Nurse to join our team as a full-time Practical Nursing Clinical Instructor at our Covington Campus. This is an day shift position. The PN Clinical Instructor will be responsible for teaching clinical rotations to our LPN students.Clinicals are taught three days a week (Mon, Tues, Thurs and Mon, Tues, Fri) from 6:30 aM to 3:00 PM. Some of the Practical Nurse Clinical Instructor's responsibilities include:Supervising students during clinical rotations.Coordinating with clinicians at clinical sites.Developing and reviewing student assignments.Instructing students on how to perform duties at the clinical site.Evaluating students' work.Requirements:Current and valid Louisiana state RN license.Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience.At least one (1) year of Med-Surgical Staff Nurse work experience.Experience teaching in Nursing Education is a plus, but not required. The college trains all faculty.Recent Med-Surgical experience is a plus.Successful candidates must pass a pre-employment drug and background screening. This position is an excellent opportunity to share your knowledge and experience in the Nursing profession to help our students succeed.
