Position Overview:
Saints Peter & Paul Catholic School is seeking a compassionate and reliable part-time school nurse to support the health and well-being of our students and staff. The nurse will provide basic first aid, manage daily health needs, maintain student health records, and collaborate with families and staff to promote a safe and healthy school environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide first aid and care for students and staff with illnesses or injuries during school hours.
  • Administer prescribed medications in accordance with school policies and state regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential student health records.
  • Monitor and report communicable diseases and other health concerns to administration as needed.
  • Communicate with parents and guardians regarding student health needs.
  • Support school safety and wellness initiatives.
  • Maintain the nurse's office, ensuring supplies are stocked and organized.
Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of Illinois.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Prior experience working with children or in a school setting preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and record-keeping skills.
  • Commitment to the mission and values of Saints Peter & Paul Catholic School.
