Join our team at Mount Airy Nursing and Rehab as an Activity Assistant! As an essential member of our dedicated staff, you will play a vital role in planning, organizing, and implementing activity programs that cater to the unique needs of our residents. Responsibilities:

• Observe and record resident attendance, participation level, mood, behavior, and overall engagement during activities
• Note, report, and chart resident behavior and progress according to facility procedures
• Communicate with residents and family members to understand interests, preferences, and goals for activity planning
• Assist in planning and implementing daily activity programs under the direction of the Activity Director
• Coordinate activities with other departments as needed to ensure smooth scheduling and participation
• Encourage residents to join activities, games, crafts, and social events
• Build supportive relationships with residents to promote self-esteem, engagement, and well-being
• Prepare activity rooms and areas for scheduled programs
• Clean up and restore activity areas once programs are completed
• Move, arrange, and organize equipment and supplies to ensure areas are ready for use
• Assist with decorating and setting up materials for residents

Requirements:
