The Infusion CNA plays a vital role in delivering exceptional care to patients receiving infusion therapies. This position directly supports Registered Nurses, ensuring patient comfort, safety, and a positive experience during treatment. You contribute significantly to the smooth operation of the infusion center by performing essential tasks, monitoring patient conditions, and maintaining a clean, safe environment. Your dedication directly impacts patient well-being and the overall quality of care.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provides direct patient care, focusing on comfort, hygiene, and emotional support during infusion treatments.
  • Monitors and accurately records vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
  • Documents patient observations, care activities, and any changes in condition promptly and precisely.
  • Communicates effectively and compassionately with patients, their families, and the healthcare team.
  • Adheres strictly to infection control protocols, maintaining a sterile and safe environment.
  • Promotes and maintains patient safety by following established procedures and identifying potential risks.
  • Responds to emergency situations, applying Basic Life Support (BLS) techniques as needed.
  • Observes patients closely for any changes in condition, reporting concerns immediately to the Registered Nurse.
  • Assists Registered Nurses with various tasks, including patient preparation and post-treatment care.
  • Monitors IV sites for signs of infiltration, phlebitis, or other complications, reporting findings promptly.
Required Qualifications
