General Ophthalmology Opening - Burlington, MA*Seeking a board certified or eligible general ophthalmologist with excellent surgical and clinical skills.*Position Details

  • Full-time, permanent
  • The successful candidate will be expected to take part in resident teaching and collaborate with colleagues on clinical, academic, and administrative projects.
  • Research interests are welcomed and supported, though not a requirement for this position.
  • Operating rooms are equipped with LenSx, Centurion phacoemulsification machines, Zeiss Lumera microscopes, ORA system, ECP, and MicroPulse laser unit.
  • Clinics have lasers (Argon, SLT, Nd:YAG) and updated, new diagnostic testing-- OCTs, Optos, Visual fields, ERGs.
  • Anterior segment OCT imaging and dry eye management and treatment technologies, LipiScan, LipiView and IPL.
  • Medical Group offers the latest in diagnostic and treatment equipment including 3D surgical viewing systems, OCT angiography, wide field imaging and angiography, updated visual field machines and a full electrophysiology suite.
  • Applicant will join a dynamic ophthalmology service with 16 comprehensive and subspecialty ophthalmologists and 7 optometrists.
  • The Ophthalmology division has four modern and fully equipped offices (Burlington, Peabody, Arlington, Lynnfield, MA) and a state-of-the-art surgical facility in the Peabody location.
  • As a teaching hospital, MDs qualify for academic appointments at Tufts University School of Medicine.
  • Medical Group is an integral teaching partner of the ophthalmology residency program of Tufts Medical Center.
  • Division also has longstanding teaching and service relationships with ophthalmology programs in Egypt, Turkey, and El Salvador.
