Title: RN Manager Labor & Delivery

Location: Davie, FL

Schedule: Full-Time, Days (No Weekends)

Compensation: $95,000 – $129,000/year (based on experience)


Overview

A modern, technology-forward hospital in Davie, FL is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager to lead its Labor & Delivery and Postpartum/Nursery Units. The facility offers all-private patient rooms and a broad range of advanced services including emergency care, maternity, orthopedics, oncology, neurosciences, and surgical specialties.

The Nurse Manager will oversee a collaborative team of 27 FTEs and provide leadership across Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn Nursery, supporting approximately 1,500 births annually.


Key Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage all operations within Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn Nursery
  • Maintain compliance with hospital, state, and federal standards (TJC, CMS, AHCA)
  • Lead initiatives to enhance patient safety, outcomes, and satisfaction
  • Hire, train, and mentor staff while supporting professional development
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to streamline care delivery
  • Monitor and manage unit budgets, staffing levels, and productivity metrics


Qualifications

  • Active Florida RN license or compact license with FL eligibility
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Minimum 1 year of recent L&D Nurse Manager experience required
  • Current or obtainable certifications:
  • BLS & ACLS – within 30 days of start
  • NRP – within 90 days
  • STABLE – within 60 months
  • Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring – within 60 months
