Job description

Position Overview

Impact Innovator Behavioral Therapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team in Elk Grove, California. In this full-time, remote position, you will provide critical psychotherapy services to patients in a hospice setting. Your role will involve working collaboratively with patients and their families to navigate the complex emotional and mental health challenges that arise during the end-of-life process.

About the Organization

Impact Innovator Behavioral Therapy is committed to providing the highest standard of mental health care within our community. Our organization prides itself on creating a supportive and empowering environment not only for our clients but also for our dedicated staff. We utilize evidence-based practices to ensure optimal patient outcomes, fostering a culture that encourages continuous learning and professional development.

Work Environment

This position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting with your primary focus being the hospice center, where you will work closely with an interdisciplinary team of health care professionals. Our facility is equipped with modern technology and resources to support your clinical work, allowing you to concentrate on delivering quality care rather than administrative tasks. Our team atmosphere thrives on collaboration and shared support, enhancing the care provided to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

As an integral member of our clinical team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive clinical assessments to identify patients' mental health needs and designing personalized treatment plans.
  • Implementing various therapeutic interventions including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused techniques adapted to each patient’s situation.
  • Maintaining accurate clinical records in compliance with HIPAA and organizational guidelines to ensure both patient confidentiality and high-quality documentation.
  • Interacting regularly with physicians, nurses, and other mental health specialists to coordinate holistic patient care and treatment adjustments.
  • Providing education to families on mental health issues and treatment options available, empowering them to be active participants in their loved one's care.
  • Participating in ongoing training and peer supervision to stay abreast of best practices and clinical developments in social work.
  • Managing a full caseload efficiently while ensuring all treatment goals are met in a timely manner.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with patients facing terminal illnesses, providing emotional and psychological support tailored to their unique needs. This role will require sensitivity to the complex feelings associated with loss, grief, and terminal care. You will also support families throughout the hospice process, offering guidance, counseling, and resources to help them cope during difficult times.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
  • Current license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California.
  • At least 3 years of clinical experience in a psychotherapy setting, ideally with a focus on end-of-life care.
  • Strong knowledge of solution-focused therapy methods and trauma-informed care principles.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate effective patient and family engagement.
  • A proven ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to provide patient-centered care.
Preferred Experience

Experience in hospice or palliative care environments will be highly valued. Familiarity with working in remote healthcare settings or utilizing telehealth technologies to provide therapy will also be beneficial for this role.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 – 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience. In addition to this competitive compensation package, you will receive:

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans.
  • Life and disability insurance, along with malpractice insurance coverage.
  • Access to an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) offering mental health counseling services.
  • Minimal paperwork responsibilities, allowing you to focus more on patient care rather than administrative duties.
  • Unlimited patient referrals, ensuring a steady caseload and fulfilling work schedule.
  • Paid professional liability insurance.
Career Growth Opportunities

At Impact Innovator Behavioral Therapy, we place a strong emphasis on professional development and career growth. You will have opportunities to participate in ongoing training, workshops, and conferences that support your continued education and specialization within the field. We encourage our team members to take on leadership roles and pursue advanced certifications.

Why Join Our Team

If you are passionate about making a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals and families during one of the most challenging times they face, we would love to hear from you. Join a team that values empathy, collaboration, and excellence in care delivery. Together, we can create a supportive environment and improve the quality of life for our patients in their final journey.
