Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) IV Certified

Location: Las Vegas, NV 89128
Employment Type: 12 Week Contract
Start Date: ASAP
Shift: Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 8a-4p

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and experienced IV Certified Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join a specialty medical practice in Las Vegas. This role focuses on infusion support, patient monitoring, and clinical care in an outpatient setting. The ideal candidate will have experience starting IVs, administering infusion therapies, and providing excellent patient care.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Initiate peripheral IV access using angiocatheters.
    • Prepare and program infusion medication pumps as directed.
    • Obtain and document patient vital signs.
    • Monitor patients during infusion treatments and report any concerns to the provider.
    • Complete required patient documentation and charting accurately and timely.
    • Enter and manage laboratory orders through Quest Diagnostics and LabCorp portals.
    • Assist providers with patient care and clinical procedures as needed.
    • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment.
    • Communicate effectively with patients, providers, pharmacies, and laboratory personnel.
    • Perform other duties as assigned to support clinic operations.

Required Qualifications

    • Current Nevada Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing.
    • Current Nevada IV Certification.
    • Current BLS/CPR certification.
    • Experience starting peripheral IVs independently.
    • Experience working in a clinic, infusion center, or outpatient healthcare setting.
    • Basic computer proficiency and ability to navigate EMR and laboratory ordering systems.
    • Strong communication and patient care skills.

Preferred Qualifications

    • Infusion therapy experience.
    • Experience programming infusion pumps.
    • Experience with Quest Diagnostics and LabCorp ordering systems.
    • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Physical Requirements

    • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and sit for extended periods.
    • Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds.
    • Ability to perform clinical tasks requiring manual dexterity.
