POSITION:       Promotions Analyst

WORKSITE:      7900 Windrose Avenue, Plano, TX 75024

JOB DUTIES: Develop and utilize analytics to measure effectiveness of promotions. Work with merchants and IT to create and maintain a repository of historical promotions, financial performance, trends and associated tactics. Develop processes to identify and measure actual promo volume, discount depth, promo types, support vehicles, basket, number of trips and vendor funding. Construct baseline calculation process and update as promo periods are cycled through. Help develop promotional scenario modeling to forecasting to estimate the performance and ROI of promotions being planned. Evaluate effectiveness of promo strategy and rules, identify opportunities and make recommendations for future promo planning. Work with merchandising and store ops to develop promo verification to measure actual results of a current promotional period against forecast and goals. Help build drillable reporting on promotions to provide insights and recommendations on actions that should be taken. Additional promo projects as identified by manager. Has discretion to interpret and adapt guidelines. Provide and assist with ad hoc analytical requests from manager.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Math, Finance, Statistics, Business Analytics, Business Administration, or a closely related field and three years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience as business analyst or related field. In the alternative a Master's degree in Math, Finance, Statistics, Business Analytics, Business Administration, or a closely related field and one year of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience as business analyst or related field. 

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: The experience must include: Three years of experience writing complex SQL, Python, and Power BI; Two years of experience with Tableau and Alteryx.

Telecommuting up to 3 days per week. Must live within commuting distance from office.
