Pay range: $16.71 - $18.98 Plus Weekly Production Bonus

Basic Job Functions:
  • Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstratethe ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards atall times.
  • Welding steel structural parts as specified per drawing or print.
  • Operating grinder to prepare and finish welds.
  • Operating flip rite.
  • Operating transfers.
  • Operating magnetic drill.
  • Full visual inspection of part ensuring all welds are in place and properly applied.
  • Effectively communicating with upstream and downstream to address safety, quality and efficiencyissues/concerns.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • WQ1 (2G) weld certification

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Can read and understand weld symbols
  • Can use an arc gouger
  • Previous crane certification
  • Previous experience in material handling
