Job description

PICK/PACK/SHIP Material Handler **SIGN-ON BONUS AVAILABLE**
Location: Middleburg Heights, OH (greater Cleveland area)
Salary/hourly rate: $21 - $22
Hours: 1st shift: Monday-Friday (8:00am-4:30pm)
The Material Handler performs the physical tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, stocking and distributing materials, parts, supplies and equipment. Checks received product against purchase orders / invoices, documents receipt of products and rejects unsatisfactory items.
Your Challenge:
  • Preparing, loading and unloading shipments including documentation and inspection.
  • Responsible for processing material with a high attention to detail to include examination for damage, processing discrepancies, and delivery of material to stock locations.
  • Perform final inspection using tape measures, calipers or other measuring devices. Possesses the ability to convert fractions to decimal and vice versa, find circumference of a circle, and understand units of measure conversions (such as square feet to square inches).
  • Package products for shipping via UPS, FedEx or freight carrier.
  • Recommend process improvements to reduce future discrepancies.
  • Assist with cycle count inventory.

Your Expertise:
  • Experience in Material Handler / Order Picking-Packing / Warehouse role.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to count, measure, and calculate for the purpose of inspecting / packaging products.
  • Use of hand tools to cut, package and secure products for shipment.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs. unassisted.
  • Bending, lifting, and standing for 8-hour shift.
  • Use rolling ladder and ladder to climb 18' to pick product.
  • Forklift certification is an asset.
