Job description

About NANO Nuclear Energy

NANO Nuclear Energy is an advanced nuclear technology company developing next-generation microreactor systems that will help transform the future of clean, reliable, and resilient energy. Through the development of its KRONOS MMR Energy System, LOKI MMR Energy System, and ZEUS Solid Core Battery Reactor-advanced high-temperature gas-cooled reactor (HTGR) technologies designed for applications including data centers, industrial operations, remote communities, and critical infrastructure-the company is advancing innovative nuclear solutions for a rapidly evolving energy landscape. NANO Nuclear has also submitted a Construction Permit Application (CPA) to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) to support the planned deployment of the KRONOS MMR at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), representing a significant milestone toward the commercialization of advanced nuclear technology.

Joining NANO Nuclear means contributing to pioneering technologies with the potential to redefine the nuclear industry while working alongside experts in engineering, science, and innovation. Our team operates in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment where employees are encouraged to solve challenging technical problems and advance the materials technologies needed for next-generation energy systems.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation, optimization, and long-term ownership of Teamcenter PLM across the organization
  • Serve as the internal subject matter expert on Teamcenter, including system architecture, integrations, and workflows
  • Partner with external contractors currently implementing Teamcenter, while reducing long-term dependency on third parties
  • Design and implement scalable processes and workflows to support engineering and product lifecycle management
  • Support and train engineering teams on best practices and effective system usage, helping manage the steep learning curve
  • Provide company-wide PLM support, troubleshooting issues and improving system adoption
  • Work cross-functionally to integrate Teamcenter with existing tools and systems (10,000+ software components in scope)
  • Help transition PLM ownership fully in-house, reducing reliance on outsourced support and associated costs
  • Ensure the Teamcenter environment (including server setup) evolves into a fully mature, production-ready system

Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years of experience, with flexibility depending on expertise and proactivity
  • Proficiency with Teamcenter is required
  • 2-3+ years of hands-on PLM experience, ideally with Teamcenter.
  • Candidates with experience using direct competitor platforms, such as Windchill, will also be considered.
  • Strong understanding of PLM systems, including configuration, customization, and integrations
  • Proven ability to support and enable engineering teams in adopting complex enterprise systems
  • Hands-on, proactive individual who takes ownership and drives solutions independently
  • Comfortable working in highly collaborative, cross-functional environments, must be personable and team-oriented
  • Experience working with or alongside third-party implementers/consultants
  • Background open across industries (Aerospace & Defense, Automotive, Industrial / Manufacturing / Energy)
  • Experience scaling or improving enterprise systems from early-stage implementation to maturity is highly preferred

What We Offer

  • The opportunity to develop materials solutions for next-generation nuclear technology.
  • Exposure to advanced materials challenges in high-temperature and nuclear environments.
  • A collaborative engineering culture focused on innovation and technical excellence.
  • Opportunities for mentorship, professional growth, and technical leadership.
  • Competitive compensation and benefits package.
  • The opportunity to contribute to a cleaner, more reliable energy future.

Equal Opportunity Statement
