Job description

Mission Focus: NT Concepts is seeking a Lead Systems Administrator to support the DoD enterprise Military Housing system. This complex system of 34 web-based modules is used by over 10,000 active users to meet the housing needs of over 2.5 million service members, DoD civilians, and their families.
Clearance: Active Top-Secret clearance
Location/Flexibility: Local to the DC Metro Area, Remote Flexible
Responsibilities:
  • Ability to manage a team of network engineers, system administrators and interface with off-site hosting group to maintain, troubleshoot, and manage upgrades to an enterprise application system.
  • Serve as the primary administrator for SAP Business Objects (BOXI) on Windows Server, including installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring.
  • Support and maintain Dynatrace for application and infrastructure monitoring; configure dashboards, alerts, and integrations; analyze performance data and assist with incident root cause analysis.
  • Support DNS changes as required for application and infrastructure needs; coordinate with network teams to ensure proper DNS resolution and network connectivity.
  • Support Splunk SIEM for log aggregation, monitoring, and security compliance; maintain forwarders, indexes, and dashboards; assist with log analysis for troubleshooting and audit purposes.
  • Provide backup support for F5 Big-IP/Big-IQ load balancer administration, including configuration changes, SSL certificate management, and troubleshooting application delivery issues.
  • Administer Windows/Linux servers, VMware/ESXi, Nutanix, NetApp, Tintri, and cloud-integrated infrastructure across on-premise and DoD/Navy-approved cloud environments.
  • Ensure ACAS findings are remediated; STIGs applied; and cybersecurity compliance is maintained in accordance with DoD and Navy cybersecurity requirements.
  • Ensure Oracle quarterly patches are reviewed, tested, and applied in timely fashion; track and remediate vulnerabilities.
  • Oversee the management of user accounts in Production, QAE, and Staging; Jira/Confluence access; reset SFG and privileged accounts.
  • Ensure the management and maintenance of Commvault/Hyperscale backup infrastructure; conduct quarterly DR exercises; manage off-site tape process.
  • Ensure the management and updates of TLS/SSL certificate lifecycle using Digicert; maintain certificate inventory across all environments.
  • Track, renew, and procure software support and support agreements and hardware replacements (Oracle, Red Hat, F5, Cisco, Commvault, VMware, etc.).
  • Ensure reporting is on time: Prepare monthly Hosting Technical Slides; produce metrics reports; maintain ISCP, SBC, and POA&M documentation.
  • Ensure the execution of scheduled and emergency maintenance windows; manage planned and unplanned outages.
  • Participate and present during CMB & System Manager meetings;

Qualifications:
  • Location: Must be located in or willing to relocate to Washington, DC or Norfolk, VA.
  • Travel: Requires occasional on-site presence and travel to the Norfolk, VA office as business needs dictate
  • Clearance: Active Top-Secret clearance (or higher) required
  • Minimum Experience: Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in a technical discipline & 10 years of relevant IT management experience, with demonstrated expertise in hosting, systems administration, and enterprise application support in a DoD or similar environment.
  • Ability to manage a team of network engineers, system administrators and interface with off-site hosting group.
  • Expert experience with SAP Business Objects (BOXI 4.3+) administration and Windows Servers.
  • Experience with Dynatrace or similar application/infrastructure monitoring tools.
  • Knowledge of Splunk administration and log analysis.
  • Experience with DNS management and network troubleshooting.
  • Experience with F5 Big-IP/Big-IQ or similar load balancer technologies.
  • Strong experience with Windows Server
  • Knowledge and experience with Linux administration.
  • Experience with VMware/ESXi, Nutanix, NetApp, Tintri (virtualization and storage).
  • Experience with Oracle Database patching, configuration, and AuditVault.
  • Experience with Commvault backup and recovery operations.
  • Experience with Cisco networking and switch management.
  • Demonstrated ability to ensure management of DoD STIG compliance and remediate ACAS vulnerabilities.
  • Knowledge of Jira and Confluence administration.
  • Knowledge of certificate management (Digicert or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity frameworks and IA processes.
  • Experience with DoD procurement processes (PR/ITPR submissions).
  • Strong technical writing skills for documentation and reporting.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting DoD or Navy IT systems.
  • Familiarity with eMH (enterprise Military Housing) or similar enterprise systems.
  • DoD 8570/8140 compliance (e.g., Security+, CISSP, or equivalent).
  • Experience with Azure or other DoD-approved cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with Camunda, RSA, Agiloft, or Dynatrace.

Certification Requirements:
  • Must have or obtain a CompTIA Security+ or DoD 8140-equivalent certification within 6 months of hire.

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at time.
