Job description

Labor & Delivery / LDRP RN

12-hour NIGHT shifts from 18:45 to 07:15.

Contract length is 13 weeks with up to 36 hours available per week.

Minimum 2 years RN experience.

Must have experience in both labor & delivery and mother/baby/couplet care.

North Carolina license or compact license pending acceptable for submittal.

Required certifications: AWHONN Beginner/Intermediate, BCLS/BLS, FHM, NRP.

Competency in L&D and couplet/mother-baby care, fetal monitoring, IV start/maintenance, blood administration, and neonatal stabilization.

Perform antepartum triage and NST/OCT.

Conduct sterile vaginal exams and manage unexpected fetal heart rate patterns.

Administer medications such as Pitocin, magnesium sulfate, and insulin drips.

Assist with vaginal deliveries, including forceps and vacuum use, and facilitate cesarean circulator duties.

Provide newborn care including thermoregulation and breastfeeding support.

COVID-19 vaccination is not required; however, flu vaccination is mandatory with medical or religious exemptions allowed. Pre-start testing must be completed within 48 hours after signing, and RTO must be pre-approved.
