Software Business Analyst (NSR 9718)

Job Type: Contract
Work Location: Hybrid – Dearborn MI
Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday (TWT)


Essential Job Functions

  1. Gather, analyze, document, and translate business requirements into technical requirements, and create traceability metrics.
  2. Define system and software requirements, process flows, and interfaces based on customer needs.
  3. Facilitate meetings for design discussions, requirements gathering, resource planning, and vendor coordination as needed.
  4. Estimate the effort, required skillsets, and timelines for project requirements analysis.
  5. Collaborate with the Business team to proactively identify and remove development roadblocks.
  6. Ensure the team follows daily Agile ceremonies and cadences.
  7. Process and manage JIRA tickets for the application portfolio.
  8. Improve project efficiency by promoting and influencing continuous integration techniques.
  9. Identify project risks and communicate them effectively to appropriate stakeholders.
  10. Participate in customer meetings and serve as the key escalation point for project issues.
  11. Create, maintain, and enforce standards and procedures for documenting requirements and use cases.
  12. Make recommendations for continuous improvements to the team and processes.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience gathering and translating business requirements into technical documentation.
  • 5+ years of Business Analysis experience supporting large-scale technical projects.
  • Experience working with Agile development teams.
  • 5+ years of experience with Cloud/Web application and/or SaaS development projects.
  • Big Data and API integration experience is a plus.
  • Automotive or OEM industry experience is preferred.

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
