KBR provides Contingency Base Operations, Stabilization, and Infrastructure support services under Naval Support Activity (NSA) Bahrain, UAE, Oman, and related task orders.
Job Summary
KBR is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the design, development, inspection, and maintenance of mechanical systems, equipment, and components to meet operational requirements. The role will ensure designs are efficient, cost-effective, reliable, and compliant with applicable industry codes, standards, and company policies. The Engineer supports project execution through all phases, including design, procurement, fabrication, installation, testing, and commissioning and will drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance, reliability, and maintainability.
**This will be an onsite position with fulltime deployment to NSA Bahrain in Manama, Bahrain.
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Support installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
  • Prepare and review engineering designs, technical drawings, specifications, and calculations for mechanical systems such as piping, HVAC, rotating equipment, and structural components.
  • Perform engineering analysis, including stress, thermal, and fluid flow calculations to validate design integrity and performance.
  • Review vendor documents and technical submittals to ensure alignment with project requirements and quality standards.
  • Conduct troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performance evaluation of mechanical systems to identify issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including electrical, civil, instrumentation, and operations to ensure successful integration and execution of projects.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements throughout all engineering activities.

Basic Qualifications
  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Relevant experience in mechanical design, engineering, or project support.
  • Knowledge of engineering standards (e.g., ASME, API, ISO).
  • Proficiency with engineering tools (e.g., CAD, simulation software).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
