Their role includes process development, tooling selection, and optimizing production workflows. They also troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement continuous improvement initiatives. To excel as an NPI (New Product Introduction) Manufacturing Engineer, you need a solid background in manufacturing processes, process validation, and engineering principles, typically supported by a degree in mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering.
