Northside Hospital Cherokee is seeking a skilled and compassionate Infectious Disease (ID) Physician to join our team on a PRN basis. The physician will provide expert consultation and management of infectious diseases for hospitalized patients and, when needed, support outpatient follow-up. This role is ideal for a clinician who values flexibility while contributing high-quality, evidence-based care within a collaborative and patient-centered environment.

Location: Northside Hospital Cherokee – Canton, GA

Position Type: PRN 


Qualifications
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.

  • Completion of residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Infectious Disease.

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Infectious Disease.

  • Current Georgia medical license (or eligibility to obtain).

  • Current DEA registration.

  • Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.

  • Prior hospital-based infectious disease experience preferred but not required.


Schedule & Work Expectations
  • PRN / As Needed – flexible shifts and consult coverage depending on hospital demand.

  • May include weekday, weekend, or holiday availability depending on service needs.
